Sydney International Boat Show 12 August 2009
The JN Taylor / Furuno Australia team attended the Sydney International Boat show held recently at the Sydney exhibition centre and Cockle Bay marina, Darling Harbour.
When the sun shines, as it did this year it is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque settings for any major boat show any where in the world. With the beautiful weather the visitors also came in record numbers, show traffic topped previous records even though the show ran for 1 day less this year. There was definitely a feeling of economic optimism among visitors and exhibitors that the worst is behind us - lets hope so. The show continues to be a draw card as a destination with people visiting the FURUNO stand from as far a field as the idyllic boating locations of the Pacific Islands, Indonesia and of course all Australian states and territories were well represented.

Our Team reported strong interest in all categories of the FURUNO product range with NavNet 3D and Maxsea Time Zero being stand outs as end users continue to be amazed with the class leading capability of the systems and their simple operation modes. With the East coast game fishing season soon to kick off their were also plenty of offshore fisherman keen to check out the new Furuno FCV-1150 & FCV-295 sounders. The cruising clientele were not left out being very impressed with the new Furuno FI-50 range of instruments and the complete vessel monitoring systems available when coupled with the innovative solutions offered using Maretron NMEA2000 hardware. Again stand out products were the ultrasonic tank level indicators that couple into the NMEA2000 network and offer updated tank information for fuel, water etc.
The boat show season continues for the next couple of months and the team from Furuno will be attending with a corporate stand at the following events.
