MM3D "C-MAP BY JEPPESEN" CHARTS NOW AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE FOR POPULAR FURUNO NAVNET 3D NAVIGATION SYSTEMS

Detailed Cartography for European, Oceanic and Asian Waters Now Available for New and Existing Furuno NavNet 3D Navigation Systems

ENGLEWOOD, COLO., August 2, 2010 - Worldwide navigation expert Jeppesen today announced expanded availability of MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts for the advanced Furuno NavNet 3D navigation system, providing coverage for much of the world's waters. Mariners across the globe can now experience the powerful combination of Furuno NavNet 3D running detailed, accurate and feature-packed C-MAP by Jeppesen cartography, combined with MapMedia technology. This release follows the recent, well-received launch of MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts for North American, Central American and Caribbean waters.

New Furuno NavNet 3D systems are ready to run MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts right out of the box; all that is required is the purchase and loading of the customer's preferred chart coverage, available from Furuno dealers or by contacting Jeppesen. Thousands of existing Furuno NavNet 3D owners around the world can also experience the detail and accuracy of MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts by simply making their existing NavNet3D systems C-MAP compatible with a free 2.05 software upgrade through an authorized Furuno dealer.

European navigators will be covered wherever they travel with 11 choices of Wide chart regions, including:
• ENM299 (Baltic Sea/Denmark)
• ENM300 (North Sea/Denmark)
• ENM326 (Finland Lakes)
• EWM226 (UK/Ireland/the Channel)
• EWM227 (North-West European Coasts)
• ENM405 (Greenland/Iceland)
• EWM228 (West European Coasts)
• EMM076 (South-West European Coasts)
• EMM112 (South Mediterranean/Aegean Seas)
• EMM111 (West Mediterranean/Black/Caspian Seas)
• RSM210 (Volga).

European boaters also have the option of four expansive MegaWide European charts, including:
• ENM019 (North Baltic Sea)
• EWM009 (Atlantic European Coasts)
• EWM010 (West European Coasts)
• EMM017 (Mediterranean/Black Seas).

Furuno NavNet3D users in Oceanic waters can choose from one Mega Wide chart (AUM007) covering the entire region, or two Wide coverage areas, including:
• AUM005 (Australia)
• AUM222 (New Zealand)

The first cartography released for Asian waters is MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" chart INM203, providing coverage from the Gulf of Martaban to Jakarta. Jeppesen and MapMedia are working to add other boating areas in Asia and the rest of the world, in order to provide complete global coverage. Boaters are encouraged to regularly check the MapMedia Website (www.mapmedia.com) for updates.

Whether a NavNet 3D system was recently or newly purchased, boaters using MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts will gain the benefit of richly detailed and accurate cartography wherever they navigate. MM3D "C-MAP by Jeppesen" charts can easily be viewed in traditional 2D or life-like 3D presentation using Furuno's patented TimeZero technology for a realistic and seamless navigation experience.

As Jeppesen and MapMedia continue to add chart coverage, registered end-users will be notified and receive a one-time product improvement update when new data is released. The update will be provided free of charge, but nominal service charges may apply. "Boaters have long recognized Furuno's NavNet 3D system as a revolutionary navigation tool - but one that has been unavailable until now to thousands of loyal C-MAP users," said Jeppesen Light Marine Division Director James Detar. "We're proud to once again offer this powerful combination to boaters worldwide to enhance navigational safety and boating enjoyment," he added.
